There’s a painting of a pink wolf in the window of the gallery round the corner. I don’t know how long it’s been there, and I can’t remember when I first noticed it. But now I make a point of looking at that pink wolf every night on my way back home from work. I’m not even sure if I really like it but there’s just something about it that makes me want to keep looking.

I thought about buying it but at £800 it’s a tough call. That pink wolf might sit proudly on my dull living room wall, but I might just as well find that I have a dog on my hands. So I keep on looking at it through the window, and it just keeps on looking back.

I can’t help feeling like I’ve missed out. And somewhere an expert painter of pink wolves has too.
