Born in Leeds, and influenced by the beauty of the Yorkshire countryside, I got my first SLR camera at 15 and taught myself how to use it.
Since then I have carried a camera with me everywhere I go.
I got my first paid photography work, taking stills during the making of a C4 World Music Program at the Brixton Academy.
I have had many pictures published in; NME, Smash Hits,American Vogue, Details Magazine, Punch and many others, with photos of Prodigy, Geri Halliwell, Portishead, Kylie Minogue and Nick Cave.
I have had several commissions for Bloomsbury Publishing 1st edition hardback covers, Including Authors Tobias Wolfe, Ed Bradley and Mark Saltzman
In 1997 I accompanied the Gli-Gli Carib Canoe project from Domenica in the Carribean, sailing down to Venezuela and Guyana, documenting the expedition photographically as well as crewing the canoe. The expedition was filmed and shown on BBC2 in 2001. Photographs of some of the indigenous peoples of these regions have been exhibited widely in Galleries around London, most recently at Bankside Weekend in Southwark. I currently live between South London and South West France where I have retuned to photographing nature, recently producing a series of large scale Iconic images of French cows, which have been exhibited and sold in Local Galleries as well as on an arts-based web-site.
My latest works are photographically derived digital portraits, painted using image manipulation software.
I am driven by my love of beauty and Nature, seeking to make bold and Iconic images.
