"Most of the time my work is inspired by nature and the landscapes of Northern Ireland where I grew up or London where I now live.
The handling of the materials is very physical with the stretchers frequently becoming more sculptural or sculptures becoming painterly. The battle between figuration and abstraction is over and the dismembered limbs of each argument can be fitted together as needed for the artist's purpose".
Originally from N. Ireland, Paul obtained both his B.A. and Masters in London (Camberwell COA, & UEL). Among the many collections Lloyds TSB owns 4 works, Paintings in Hospitals 1 and the London Foundry 1. Internationally Paul has worked as Artist in Residence & exhibited in Barbados also showing work in New York, Cyprus, Australia and Bulgaria he exhibits regularly in the UK.
