Jo Corker
I recently started painting for the first time in many years. Prior to going through the art school system I had spent most of my spare time drawing, painting and making objects. At college, the constant requirement to justify my work put me off making it anymore. I turned instead, after college, to commercial three dimensional commissions and to running a creative business.
Through my commercial work, I am lucky to have equipment and a workshop at my disposal, enabling me to make large paintings now. I am looking forward to trying out my ideas for developing the work in new directions in the next few months.
