My time spent as a musician in one of the greatest cultured cities in the world, where a place has history coming out of the walls. The Big Easy is a City where Jazz was born a city that never sleeps, a place you never want to leave. There is only one place like that in the world and that is New Orleans.
Recent events have enlightened the global warming issue: the devastating consequences of the Asian Tsunami; followed by the floods in New Orleans; and the Pakistan earthquake killing thousands. Climate change has left these beautiful places resembling a war zone. We are shown on television images of hopelessness, which has influenced me to paint the main issues of climate change
Country Music: Great interest in the Maverick performers such as Waylon Jennings, George Jones, Jonny Cash, Willie Nelson and Kris Kris Krisofferson. These men made an album called ‘Highwaymen’, Willie Nelson recorded an album called ‘Stardust’. The Four Honky Tonk Men refused to reform to political correctness. Frank Sinatra admired Willie Nelson’s ‘back phrasing’ when he sang, and said ‘The man can really sing a song. I wonder if I’ll be able to sing any of his.’
I completed my H.N.D. AT Havering College of Further Higher Education, in 2006 and went on a Full-Time basis at University of East London to study a BA (Honours) degree in Fine Art in 2007.
