Rebecca Russell-Turner likes to investigate the blurring boundaries of art and design. Working from her home studio in north London she enjoys the creative process of turning fashion fabrics into art works. Educated in fashion and textiles to a Masters level Rebecca has previously worked as a freelance designer, lecturer and has even ran her own label “Tat”. Her art works are her reaction to the competitive world of fast fashion where she prefers to create art that has more substance with a longer, more appreciated life span.
Her previous exhibition ‘Passion’ in Mayfair December 2006 was well received.
