This painting is inspired by a sculpure i made 2 years ago. The sculpture is the same size as an average adult, made out off plaster and then painted over with acylic paintand varnished to make it weather proof.

The sculpture is a greeny/bronzey colour. I used acrylic, then coated the painting with varnish beacause that is what i painted the sculpture with.  I thought it would be more honest to use the same material when I translated the sculpture into painting.

I was born in Portsmouth. 

Only there for 10 years then I moved to Basildon Essex where I worked as a Printer for 17 years.

I lived there for 30 years

I felt that I needed to change my direction in my life.

So I moved to London where I followed my dreams of being an artist.

I developed my skills in Tower Hamlets College where I learned how to paint, and then studied at University of East London for 3 years,...
