Chinese Brush Painting is done on rice paper which is very thin and absorbent. You do not draw like the western art. You create your painting with the Chinese Brush using Chinese ink and colour. Ink is made from an ink stick mixing with water to get correct grades of the black ink.

RAJU SHAH (SOBHAG) has lived in London since 1957. He is a retired Chartered Surveyor. His interest in Chinese painting came about in 1984 after a family holiday in Japan. He has studied various techniques of Chinese and Japanese brush painting.
