Working with acrylic on canvas Tinsel creates her own imagery, making paintings that are inspired by both her own photography and images from popular culture. She superimposes text on her canvases, creating ironic, humorous messages that juxtapose and complement the imagery, giving the work a highly nostalgic, yet contemporary feel that resonates with its own pop culture.
