From a series of four or five images that I painted on the floor. In each case I began by filling the entire canvas with abstract blocks of colour and painting from all sides, without any plan in mind. The colours and forms would then suggest certain objects and environments which I would develop. The images seemed to embody passing and transitory thoughts ,emotions or activities in a symbolic form, but without any definite meaning. The viewer is free to play with meanings and interpretations.

If the philosophic aim is to re-animate a fallen disenchanted world, to re-animate things and objects (even if only the painting itself as object), do I envisage this as simply the creation of lively coloured paintings?
