Hugh Woodeson
Hugh Woodeson's work evokes a sense of place, often catching the dichotomy between an enveloping city landscape and the isolation of the onlooker. His use of light emphasises and contrasts bulk and space. By allowing, at times, the intense colour of underpainting to show through he creates an added depth and luminosity.
