This print was created for a story I wrote and illustrated. It's a picture-book about Julia and her uncle walking back from primary school. She is in a bad mood and to cheer her up the uncle introduces her to The Triple C, which is a club that has encouragements but absolutely no rules. In the Triple C you can always ask “Are we there yet?” and giggle about anything at all, you can collect conkers and, best of all, jump in as many puddles as you like.

My favourite way of working is in some form of printmaking. I enjoy etchings because it can become very detailed images. It is also hard to overwork an etching, but if you do you can always scrape down the image and do it all over again on the same plate, but still have the scars from before.

Wood-cuts are also prints I enjoy doing. Mainly because it is so straightforward and you can pretty much print anywhere you want, but also for the solid black and white image you get. Both...
