In my work, seemingly normal objects and domestic-like buildings are set in flat chromatic landscapes, their solidity suggested only by their shadows. On closer inspection the images reveal themselves to contain layers of allusions, coding and contradictions. The work references many disparate sources - such as symbolic still-life vanitas paintings, architecture, folktales - together with the physical and psychological landscapes I find myself in.
