Cassandra developed from a clients request for a “landscape” based piece rather than a “portrait” shape to fit a particular room. The “Chaise Longue” idea occurred to me whilst lying on the sofa at home after a particular hectic family Christmas! This piece works equally as well by replacing the politically incorrect (but historically accurate) cigarette and holder with a perfume bottle. The smoke is replaced by motes of flowers. I have even matched the colour of the “Chaise Longue” to a client’s particular interior design scheme! This latest in the series features more crystal within the framework to really reflect the light.

Diane (Di) Melville Kaye was born in November 1944 as the first daughter to Bernard and Georgina Wright in Leicester. Di’s childhood was influenced by her father, his love of nature, and his ability to describe the birds, flowers and trees that they saw during their Sunday afternoon walks.
