Fragmented works in the form of collage were started following an accident causing damage in my studio. A few months later, the natural disaster, the tsunami, influenced a series of broken landscape collage. Although these collages may refer to social disorder, to manmade or natural disasters, I did not want these to be dark pictures. In the process of reassembly, I have tried to make images which have an optimistic viewpoint.

Many images are influenced by prehistoric rock carving and painting and by ancient civilizations. They acknowledge the strong bonds between mankind and the environment. They respond to the effects of time and accident and the way in which imagery may be altered or initially hidden from view depending on how it is found and seen.
